CHRISM MASS
Tuesday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. - at Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Church located at 2800 McGavock Pike, Nashville, TN. More information HERE.
At this Mass, priests of the diocese publicly renew their commitment to priestly service. Priests are brought together and concelebrate this Mass as witnesses and cooperators with their bishop in the consecration of the chrism because they share in the sacred office of the bishop in building up and sanctifying the people of God. The blessing of the oil of the sick, the blessing of the oil of catechumens, and the consecration of the chrism are an essential part of this Mass. This Mass is, therefore, a clear expression of the unity of the priesthood and sacrifice of Christ, which continues to be present in the Church.

Catholic Relief Services' Rice Bowl program began 50 years ago to aid families facing famine in Africa. Rice bowls will be available for all parishioners at the entrances during the first week of Lent. Our school and religious education students will receive materials through their classrooms. To participate, assemble your rice bowl, place it at home, and encourage family donations. Filled rice bowls can be returned in the Narthex on Palm Sunday weekend. Thank you for supporting those in need through CRS Rice Bowl. While 75% of donations support CRS programs in 120 countries, 25% remains in our parish to combat local hunger and poverty.
